Set scheduled monk sessions in the shortcuts app

Automating your focus sessions can help build consistent habits. Here's how to set up scheduled Monk sessions using the Shortcuts app:

Create a new shortcut

Open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone and tap the '+' button to create a new shortcut. Name it something like 'Start Monk Focus'.

Add Monk actions

Tap 'Add Action' and search for 'Monk'. Select 'Start Monk Mode' and choose which app group you want to block during this scheduled session.

Set up automation trigger

Go to the Automation tab in Shortcuts, tap '+', and select 'Create Personal Automation'. Choose 'Time of Day' and set your desired schedule. Then select your 'Start Monk Focus' shortcut as the action to run.

Pro tip: Create multiple schedules

Set up different automations for workdays versus weekends, or for different types of activities throughout your day. You might want stricter blocks during deep work hours and lighter restrictions during lunch.
